About the job
The Data Mapping Specialist is responsible for supporting data migration, integration, and transformation projects. The role involves analysing, mapping, and structuring data between different systems to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability. You will collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to enhance data workflows and improve business intelligence capabilities.
What we expect from you
- Develop and maintain data mapping processes for item attributes across systems.
- Tidy and clean data to ensure compliance with organisational standards.
- Define and enforce hierarchy rules for item attributes to maintain structure and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges.
- Create and manage documentation for processes, rules, and workflows.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve data quality and governance.
- Work closely with IT, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and anomalies.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience in data management, mapping, and cleaning processes.
- Proficiency in Excel, and relevant data tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong understanding of data mapping and data transformation.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality best practices.
- GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Ability to work comfortably with all levels of management and employees throughout the company.
- Experience within the ITAD industry is advantageous.
- The ability to multi-task, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
- Strong organisation and time management skills ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to achieve key goals.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
