Warehouse Operative

We're looking for Warehouse Operative to join Foxway and become part of a team that gives technology a second life.
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll play a key role in our sustainability mission by assisting with a variety of tasks across devices such as laptops, desktops, mobile phones, tablets, and Apple products, ensuring they are ready for reuse.
No prior technical experience? No problem. We provide full training—what matters most is your interest in technology and willingness to learn.
📍 Location: Braintree, Essex
What will you do?
Receive inbound deliveries: unload vehicles, check quantities/condition, and book stock into our inventory system
Sort, label, and stage stock for put-away, processing, or dispatch using safe manual handling practices
Pick and pack orders accurately, selecting the correct items, quantities, and accessories to meet customer requirements
Prepare consignments for dispatch: pack securely, label correctly, and support carrier collections to agreed cut-off times
Reconfiguration of IT assets (full training provided)
Put stock away to the correct locations and maintain clear, organised storage areas
Use handheld scanners and systems to update stock movements, locations, and order status (full training provided)
Support stock counts and basic inventory checks, reporting discrepancies or damages promptly
Work to daily productivity targets while maintaining accuracy, care, and attention to detail
Follow warehouse processes, health & safety guidance, and quality standards at all times
Keep work areas clean and tidy and support other warehouse tasks when required
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic and positive thinking individuals with a will to learn and progress in a fast paced environment where support and training will be provided.
Must have:
Comfortable using Windows and performing accurate data entry
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
Ability to follow processes and instructions consistently
Positive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
Able to drive or live locally in Braintree due to shift patterns
Nice to have:
Experience in IT, refurbishment, warehouse, or production environments
Any Forklift licence to show you are capable (however Foxway would look to provide refresher courses to ensure safety measures are met)
Education / Experience:
GCSEs (or equivalent) preferred
Previous experience in IT, production, or operations is beneficial but not essential
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 15kg unassisted
Comfortable with bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, sitting, and standing as required

A structured three-week rolling rota designed to support work-life balance:
Week 1–3: Monday–Wednesday
Week 4–6: Thursday–Saturday
The role operates on three 12-hour shifts per week (06:00–19:00), including a 1-hour unpaid break, totalling 36 hours per week.
A full-year rota is provided in advance for predictability and planning.
