Sales Executive (temporary)

We’re looking for a commercially driven Sales Executive to join our team for a 12-month maternity cover!
This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the B2B sales cycle—working with repurposed IT equipment such as laptops, desktops, monitors, tablets, and peripherals—while building strong supplier and customer relationships and maximising profitability.
Role is based in Braintree, Essex.
What will you do?
Manage and grow sales with existing customers while developing new business and re-engaging lapsed accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers at multiple levels
Source and transact stock in a way that maximises margin and commercial value
Evaluate IT equipment and set competitive buy/sell pricing
Promote available stock and generate new sales opportunities
Use the company’s online trading platform to market stock and close deals
Take full ownership of the end-to-end sales process (stock release, invoicing, logistics, billing accuracy)
Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, online platforms, and in person
Resolve customer and supplier queries and ensure a high level of service
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
Attend occasional industry events and travel when required
Who we are looking for?
Self-motivated and target-driven, with strong commercial awareness
Confident working independently and making sound decisions
Excellent relationship-building skills across customers and suppliers
Accountable for personal performance and results
Comfortable working across virtual and cross-functional teams
Adaptable and flexible in a fast-changing environment
Strong ability to manage and balance customer expectations
Previous sales experience (ITAD or related industry desirable)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of IT equipment or a keen interest in developing product knowledge
