Data Analyst for BI and Data Analytics

At Foxway A/S, as a data analyst, you will have a daily life with responsibility for our data analysis and have a great influence on how the business is run. You will be part of a business-oriented IT department, where you will focus on our BI and data analysis

Exciting tasks and responsibilities await you in the role of data analyst, you will have full responsibility for our BI environment, which is based on the TargitBI solution and migrating to PowerBI. You will also be required to conduct data analysis and compare your insights with commercial business objectives. Through your data insight, you will help to carry out improvement activities on master and transaction data. In the long term, you will build up a deep specialist knowledge of our product data and be involved in the future implementations of BI and other systems.

You will primarily be responsible for:

1. Daily monitoring and maintenance of our performance management tool.
2. Visualize data and present insights to stakeholders via BI analyses/reports or SQL database extraction.
3. Analyses for performance optimization of operations in logistics and production.
4. Ad-hoc analyses for management.
5. Optimize data and their structures, as well as general optimization of master data quality.
6. Support the finance department in consolidation and reporting.
7. As part of a team, you will also support each other when needed.

Based on the performance management solution in Denmark, you will be involved in the implementation of BI systems in other parts of the business unit.

You will be part of an IT department that supports both the commercial and operational part of Foxway with a business-oriented perspective. 

This position is based in Hinnerup, Denmark, with approximately 85 colleagues across operations, finance, and commercial teams. You’ll report directly to the IT Director Lee Crosdale and collaborate closely with IT team in both Denmark and UK,

Who are you?
You are data-driven and undoubtedly have strong analytical skills, capturing essential details in large amounts of data. You are well-organized and consistently strive for high quality. 

You communicate clearly when it comes to focusing on initiatives, and you challenge current practice. You are a team player who likes to collaborate, just like us.

To succeed in the position, we also imagine that you have:

1.  Fluent in written and spoken English
2. Relevant education in data science, mathematics or similar
3. Knowledge of MS Excel, Power Pivot, Power Query, PowerBI, Visual Studio with SSIS (SQL Server Integration System) and preferably TargitBI
4. Good knowledge of SQL and Python.
5. It will be an advantage if you also have knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central

Other educational backgrounds may also be relevant in combination with experience in economics or master data management.
